The Badly Written Sitcom

    In my defense to Resty’s comment regarding the previous post, I interacted with his wife prior to her becoming a teacher, so I basically saw her as a friend, someone who’s no a teacher but a person within the group who happens to teach. Perspective is a funny thing.   I never expected teachers to be that verbally ruthless because Isaw Mahilda as being equally ruthless before being a teacher. She was a person to me before being a teacher. And teachers, to those who still are studying or those who only finished studying recently, often saw teachers as the enemy.

    Rocky, one of the people responsible for bringing me into the world of the academe, pretty much warned me about the level of capabilities of the students down south… which was very nice of him. But, it presents a challenge. One that I like.

   It seems that the biggest challenge though, would be having any semblance of a social life considering the very minimal, abysmal in fact, options aong the faculty members I’ve met so far. Not that there’s anything wrong with them… they’re just to … vintage for my taste.

   I miss the people I worked with. They weren’t very annoying.
